Employment Law - Resignation
Most resignations will be uncontentious and simply signify that an employee has chosen to move on to another employer to further their career, or because they are moving to another part of the country. However, employers must be careful in circumstances where the employee has resigned hastily, or in reaction to something that has angered them. In these cases, it may be advisable to ensure that resigning is definitely that they wish to do.
Employers also need to consider minimum notice periods and the existence of post-termination restrictions.
